How to Reroll Traits

Traits are permanent stat modifiers on Blue Lock Farm footballers. Each Trait multiplies cash, health, damage, or a combination of those stats. You change a unit’s Trait by spending Trait Tokens at the Plaza Traits stall. There are 16 Traits in the pool. Common single-stat lines drop often; the best multi-stat rolls are extremely rare. This guide covers the full odds table, how to earn tokens, exact reroll steps, auto-roll tips, and which results are worth keeping.

If you are brand new, finish Getting Started before burning tokens. Traits belong on keepers, not on temporary fills.

Full Traits odds table

Fortune boosts cash, Vitality boosts health, and Slayer boosts damage. Higher Roman numerals are stronger single-stat rolls. Multi-stat Traits sit at much lower rates.

TraitChanceEffect
Fortune I16.4%Cash x1.1
Vitality I16.4%Health x1.1
Slayer I16.4%Damage x1.1
Fortune II10.5%Cash x1.3
Vitality II10.5%Health x1.3
Slayer II10.5%Damage x1.3
Fortune III5.46%Cash x1.5
Vitality III5.46%Health x1.5
Slayer III5.46%Damage x1.5
Assassin1%Cash x1.5, Damage x1.5
Berserk0.76%Damage x1.5, Health x1.5
Midas0.5%Cash x2
Emperor0.5%Cash x1.2, Damage x1.5, Health x1.5
Phoenix0.1%Cash, Damage, Health x1.75
Angelic0.05%Cash, Damage, Health x2
Sovereign0.01%Cash, Damage, Health x3

Sovereign is the rarest Trait at 0.01% and triples cash, damage, and health. Angelic and Phoenix are the next all-round chase rolls. Midas is the strongest pure cash Trait at a flat x2 and is often the best practical target for income-focused farms.

How to get Trait Tokens

Every reroll costs one Trait Token. Sources include:

  • Infinity Tower clears and related dungeon progress — see the dedicated Infinity Tower guide when you are ready to farm tokens on purpose.
  • Daily rewards claimed on login — covered in Daily Rewards.
  • Codes that grant Trait Token bundles—always check the live Codes list. As of the Destructoid refresh dated 5 October 2026, older strings such as TRAITS and ADMINABUSE are expired past examples from earlier Traits / Admin Abuse waves (they once bundled large Trait Token stacks with Grade Tokens or Variant Tokens). Do not treat them as currently active. Redeem the working early-October set instead: ADMINABUSE2, BALLS, WEATHER, and COMMUNITY, then re-check Codes after every patch.

Stockpile before you touch a key footballer. Because everything above Assassin sits at 1% or lower, expect to spend many tokens for a keepable multi-stat result. Rolling five tokens on a unit you will replace wastes progress.

How to reroll at the Plaza Traits stall

  1. Launch Blue Lock Farm and go to the Plaza hub where Ranking, Traits, and related stalls sit together.
  2. Open the Traits stall (often labeled around upgrading your cards) and select the footballer you want to change.
  3. Spend one Trait Token to reroll. The new Trait replaces the previous one immediately—there is no side-by-side hold of two Traits on the same roll.
  4. Read the new multipliers on the card. Decide keep or continue before you touch another unit.
  5. Optionally enable auto-roll with auto-stop toggles so the game keeps spending tokens until it hits a Trait tier or target you configured, then stops.

You will know a reroll worked when the Trait name and multipliers on the footballer update. Because each roll overwrites, never auto-roll past a result you actually wanted.

Auto-roll tips

Auto-roll is powerful and dangerous. Use it when:

  • You already decided the unit is a long-term keeper (ideally already climbing grades toward UR—see How to Get UR Grade).
  • You have a token buffer large enough that a dry spell will not zero your inventory.
  • Auto-stop is set to something you would actually keep, such as stopping on high-rarity tiers rather than any Fortune I.

Turn auto-roll off if you are experimenting on a mid unit or if you only have a handful of tokens from dailies. Manual rolls force you to evaluate each Midas, Emperor, or Phoenix hit with full attention.

Which Traits to keep

Income farms (default for most players)

  • Keep Midas on sight for pure cash units. Cash x2 is simple and strong.
  • Keep Fortune III if you are early and cannot afford to chase rarer rolls yet.
  • Chase Angelic and Sovereign on your absolute best placed UR footballers.
  • Assassin is a solid cash-plus-damage stop if you also care about combat content.

Balanced / combat-leaning units

  • Emperor, Phoenix, Angelic, and Sovereign are the premium multi-stat outcomes.
  • Berserk helps damage and health when cash is already solved on other units.
  • Avoid leaving permanent slots on Fortune I / Vitality I / Slayer I once you have token income—these are filler results.

Sovereign chase reality

At 0.01%, Sovereign is a lottery. Plan your farm so Midas or Angelic already pays the bills while you occasionally dump surplus tokens into the chase. Do not freeze locker progression waiting for a single Sovereign.

Suggested investment order

  1. Identify keepers with Best Units.
  2. Push grades toward UR on those keepers.
  3. Bank Trait Tokens from Tower, dailies, and codes.
  4. Reroll income Traits first on your highest cash contributor.
  5. Only then spread rare-Trait attempts across the rest of the placed squad.

Common mistakes

  • Rerolling before the unit is worth keeping.
  • Ignoring overwrite behavior and losing a Midas because auto-roll continued.
  • Spending every token the moment codes arrive instead of batching on one UR unit.
  • Treating Sovereign as a required milestone instead of a bonus.

Traits multiply whatever grade and locker power you already built. Combine this page with smart grading and unit selection, and your offline crate sales will show the difference.
